History

The Kansas Credit Attorneys Association was founded in 1994 to bring together collection attorneys from across the state to develop a strong legislative strategy at the state level.  The group has its annual meeting in October of each year and the site is rotated among Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City.  A mid-year meeting is usually held in June in Topeka.

Additionally, the association works closely with the Kansas Collectors Association on legislative matters.  During the legislative session, a joint committee of the two groups meets weekly.

This association is the primary lobbying group for collection attorneys in the state of Kansas.  The group hires a professional lobbyist each year who devotes a substantial amount of time to the business of the association.
