Kansas Bankruptcy Cases

            1.  Sanchez Case - each garnishment is a separate transfer for purposes of
the $600 threshold on preferential transfers.  Remember, this is a local
decision by Judge Pearson.  It may not fly with other judges.

            2.  In Re: Grant - effect of garnishment lien is determined under state law and
attaches when the garnishment order is served.  Debtor is not entitled to the
garnished funds and Trustee cannot avoid if not a preference.

            3.  In Re: Rodriguez - affirms Grant.  Good discussion of failed attempt of
debtor to set aside the garnishment.

          4.  In Re: Adcock - Judge Robinson finds that where debtors deposit only wages into
a bank account the wages remain exempt and trustee is entitled to only 25% of the
funds in the bank bank account as the other 75% is exempt under federal and
            state garnishment laws.

            5.  In Re: Doughman - Judge Pearson finds that under facts identical to Adcock, the funds
in the bank account are not exempt and the trustee is entitled to 100% of the funds.
